We have been there
IoT sucks. It is difficult to get started because there are just so many variable. We understand this because we have been there and we have lived through this journey.
Our story started as an IoT startup in 2019. We wanted to make smart home technology more affordable and accessible to people. In order to achieve that, we designed a $50 smart socket board. It was revolutionary because it enabled users to get the advantages of automating homes and offices without ever upgrading appliances.
Then came the real challenge. We wanted reach out to millions of people. In order to accomplish that, we needed better mobile applications, robust hardware and a super scalable backend. It is a lot for a small team. So we bootstrapped.
One year down the road we were still in the lab and financially burned out. It just took too much time to develop the production ready technology stack. We were broke before we could even make it to the market. It made us to think and we realized about a big problem. IoT is hard because even bootstrapping a project take ages.
We decided to fix this and hence Grandeur was born.
Team
Grandeur started as a notion in 2021, today we are a growing community of developers from all over the world. What makes us special is our unique chemistry and perspective. What binds us together is our thirst to make a difference.

We are backed by leading Operators. Our investors have build and scaled teams at Google, Apple, Nike and have founded and exited leading startups like Fandom and YotaScale. We are now member of Alchemist Accelerator Class 29.
